"Alarum 2025: Does This Action Thriller Deserve the Hype?"

Veteran action star Sylvester Stallone returns to the big screen with the new spy thriller "Alarum", released on January 17, 2025. But was it worth the wait?

The Story: Espionage, Escape, and Total Chaos

The film follows Joe (Scott Eastwood) and Lara (Willa Fitzgerald), two former spies who attempt to live a peaceful life after retirement. However, when multiple intelligence agencies start hunting them down over a stolen hard drive containing top-secret information, they are forced into a relentless chase across several countries to save themselves and uncover the truth.

Cast and Production

The movie also stars Mike Colter, Ísis Valverde, and D.W. Moffett. Filming took place between February and May 2024 in Ohio, with a mid-range budget that clearly influenced the production quality.

Mixed Reviews and Shocking Reactions

While action fans were eager to see Stallone and Eastwood team up, the film received catastrophic reviews, scoring 0% on Rotten Tomatoes! Critics called it a "weak attempt to revive classic action films", while others mocked its poor script and lackluster execution.

Is It Worth Watching?

If you're a fan of classic action movies and don’t mind some flaws, "Alarum" might still be an entertaining watch. But if you're looking for a strong plot and high production value, you may want to consider other options.
